Since my very first move in 1972 I have had a passion for the moving business. I worked each summer in high school and throughout college as an Atlas Van Lines crew member and became a qualified driver for Atlas in 1977. The next two years were spent over the road driving and working full time in the moving industry. In May of 1979 I was given the opportunity to relocate to Bentonville, AR with my soulmate, Joyce, to help run Helmuth Moving & Storage, an operation that my father, Waldo Winter, purchased from two wonderful people, Don & Mim Helmuth. They both stayed on after the buyout as operation and office managers assisting in the transition of the business; a relationship that evolved into actually becoming more like family than anything else.
In 1981 both Don & Mim retired and I took over the reins in running the business. In 1986 Joyce & I bought out my Dad and have been growing with Northwest Arkansas through the last 32 years. Over those years we have been blessed to have many great employees that have been a big part in helping us get to where we are today. We began this adventure with three trucks and seven employees and now have about 19 trucks and 38 employees. We are proud to be recognized as one of the top Atlas Van Lines agents in the country. The partnerships that we have made with the companies in the area and our business relationships with the people of NWA, has made coming to work each and every day such a joy! And now the same passion that I have had in this business is being reflected in our family members who have joined us…driving us to a new level of service for our customers and their relocation needs whether the move is across the street or around the world. As it has been from the beginning, we will always strive to exceed our customer’s expectations on each and every move.

My husband, John, and I moved to NWA in May of 1979 to begin a new life. What a wonderful journey it has been. Leaving our families and friends in Nebraska, was difficult, but our lives have been truly blessed and I am so thankful to call this beautiful area our home. The growth in Northwest Arkansas has been phenomenal since the late 70’s and our company has expanded and diversified as well.
I handle most of the military/government business for the company along with coordinating international relocations. We have faced our share of challenges along the way but I am so very proud of our company’s accomplishments. The men and women of Winter Moving & Storage are our greatest assets and it is only through their hard work and dedication, that we are able to offer quality service to our customers and their relocation needs.

Growing up the moving business has given me a vital background and knowledge about the industry. Born and raised in Bentonville, Arkansas, I enjoyed working for Winter Moving & Storage at an early age. At age 15, I began to work in the field as a professional packer during the summers. After graduating college, where I played basketball as a shooting guard for Northwest Missouri State University, I returned home to once again join the family business, this time as a member of the office staff. I enjoy my job as the company’s OA and DA Coordinator as well as everyday duties as an office manager. In my spare time I enjoy family, friends, Beaver Lake, Nebraska and Arkansas football, NASCAR, Mexican food, and my adorable loving dog, “Chance.”

Randy has been in the moving business for a total of 28 years. He was a driver for the first 18 years in the business. He acquired a position with Winter Moving and Storage as a Warehouse Manager. He continued in that position for four more years. He then advanced to Operations Manager where he has persevered for the last six years. This position touches many different aspects of the company. He dispatches all local and long distance hauling. All of truck maintenance and safety are his responsibilities and of course, operations. He was born and raised in Rogers, Arkansas. He is a loving husband and father of three children. He likes to spend time with his family, playing with his dogs, boating, camping, and hiking. He is a football fanatic and is a Vikings fan. Oh, and don’t forget about the Arkansas Razorbacks. Go Hogs! Fishing is one of his favorite hobbies along with doing home improvements.

I was born and raised in Bentonville, AR but also into the moving industry, growing up around the business as a child. When I was 14 I started to work around the warehouse during the summer. Starting in Jr. High, I became a local crew member working in the field and really grew to enjoy all aspects of the moving industry. I loved the opportunity to meet new people, see different places, and in the end, provide customers with the best moving experience possible. These reasons became such a fulfilling and rewarding part of why I loved this industry.
I graduated from Bentonville High School in 2002, where I played football and as a senior and won the first football state championship in the history of BHS. I attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. All the while, I worked every chance I could and again in the summers perfecting my moving skills. I have now worked for Winter Moving and Storage for 14 years and counting. I've been fortunate to have worked in all different aspects of the company, and I am now the assistant warehouseman and special projects manager. Since my first move many years ago, I've never lost that desire to provide customers with the BEST moving experience possible; there is simply nothing better.

Since 2002, I’ve been working at Winter Moving and Storage, striving to deliver the best customer experience possible. I am the warehouse and claims manager. Prior to coming on board to Winter Moving and Storage, I was self employed in construction and faming for over 25 years. I’ve enjoyed living in southwest Missouri all of my life.

Since 1999, I’ve been working with my brother and loving every minute of it! During college I drove truck for my dad in the summers. Trucking was a bit different back then, but the principles have stayed the same; take care of the customer and do everything possible to make the move beat their expectations. I went to the University of Nebraska and was on the 1970 National Championship team. After my football playing days were over, I continued on in the moving business and ran my dad’s moving company until 1985. After that I moved on to Detroit, MI where I worked with Atlas Van Lines as a National Account Executive. I worked with large accounts, such as General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler.
In addition to helping our customers with their moving needs, I love golfing, boating, and being around family and friends.

For the past five years I’ve worked for Winter Moving and Storage. I find great gratification in assisting our customers through the normally stressful process of moving by helping them with planning, implementation, and physical move itself. Our customers are always my number one priority.
I was born in Ames, IA and went on to graduate with a degree from Upper Iowa University. Prior to working at Winter Moving and Storage, I’ve managed several Chambers of Commerce and owned three separate businesses. I’m also a U.S. Army Veteran. My wife, Louise, and I have two children and two grandchildren. I enjoy shooting skeet and trap, fishing, and yard work.

Originally from Ridgecrest, CA, I found my way to beautiful Northwest Arkansas by chance. I originally came here in January 2005 to help a friend open a restaurant. I had previously been in the restaurant business for 15 years working the ranks up to Executive Chef and General Manager. I have lived all over the country, including Puerto Rico, but am very happy to call Northwest Arkansas "home." Not too long after I arrived in 2005, I met my beautiful wife, Amanda, and decided to translate my customer service background in the restaurant industry to the relocation industry. Being able to work with Amanda and her family members in a family-owned and operated business has been fulfilling on many levels. Nobody cares more about their employees and customers than they do! I really enjoy spending my time with family & friends whether it is on Beaver Lake, rooting on Arkansas or Nebraska Athletics, or at Talladega Superspeedway.
