Winter Moving & Storage, an Atlas Van Lines Agent, has been a trusted moving agency since 1979. Founded by John Winter and his father after purchasing Helmuth Moving in Bentonville, Arkansas, the company has partnered with Atlas Van Lines for over 50 years to deliver quality and professionalism nationwide.
With the growth of Northwest Arkansas, Winter Moving & Storage has expanded to meet increasing demand for office relocations, successfully serving businesses like public libraries, real estate offices, laboratories, and corporate offices. The sales team also collaborates with companies to create employee relocation policies that enhance competitiveness in the job market.
Reflecting on the company’s history, John Winter states, “A lot has changed in the last 50 plus years, and more change is ahead. Winter Moving & Storage is ready to meet those challenges while maintaining the highest standards of service.”
Our History
Winter Moving & Storage is a nineteen-time winner of Atlas’ most prestigious honor, the Milton M. Hill Quality Award. Recipients of the Milton M. Hill Quality Award must meet or exceed Atlas standards in all quality criteria, from customer satisfaction ratings and weight estimating accuracy to claims ratios, safety points and warehouse ratings. To even be considered for this award, an agent must first receive the Hauling Excellence Award (twenty-one-time winner). While Atlas recognizes outstanding achievement, this award is reserved for those select few that genuinely rank as the best of the best. Winter Moving & Storage is located at 2710 SE Otis Corley Dr., in Bentonville, Arkansas. Adapting to Northwest Arkansas' Growing Business Landscape
Due to the growth in the Northwest Arkansas area, the need for office relocations has increased. Winter Moving & Storage crews have successfully moved a number of predominant businesses in the area which include six public libraries, real estate offices, laboratories and corporate offices. In addition, the Winter Moving & Storage sales staff has worked in conjunction with companies of various sizes to design and implement employee relocation policies and packages that ensure a competitive advantage in today’s job market.
